"Seeking the face of God in everything, everyone,, all the time…this is what it means to be contemplative.” – St.Teresa of Calcutta

The Meeting Place

The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the meeting place of two loves: the one, which descends from on high, is the Father's love poured out on the family of His children to draw them to Himself; the other, which ascends from below, is the filial love of His children who, through the beloved Son, ascend towards the Father.

An Abyss of All Blessings

This Divine Heart is an abyss of all blessings, and into it the poor should submerge all their needs.  It is an abyss of joy in which all of us can immerse our sorrows.  It is an abyss of lowliness to counteract our foolishness, an abyss of mercy for the wretched, an abyss of love to meet our every need.

St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

If Angels Could Be Envious of Us

If the angels were capable of envy, they would envy us for two things: one is the receiving of Holy Communion, and the other is suffering

Exercise Your Faith

An increase in Faith comes from the exercise of the Faith we have already received.  It is like the development of a muscle.  It requires us to increase our dedication to the Word of God; our perseverance in prayer and meditation; and the exercise of our faith to penetrate the mysteries before us…Faith takes risks – it recognizes that with God all things are possible…Faith grows as we find ourselves more deeply united with the Lord and wanting to imitate His words and actions.
