"Seeking the face of God in everything, everyone,, all the time…this is what it means to be contemplative.” – St.Teresa of Calcutta

To Whom Must We Submit Our Spirit and Freedom?

The natural law is written and engraved on the soul of each and every man, because it is human reason ordaining him to do good and forbidding him to sin…But this command of human reason would not have the force of law if it were not the voice and interpreter of a higher reason to which our spirit and our freedom must be submitted.

Pope Leo XIII – Libertas praestantissimus

Do We Treasure Our Priests As We Ought?

Were we to fully realize what a priest is on earth, we would die: not of fright but of love…Without the priest, the passion and death of our Lord would be of no avail. It is the priest who continues the work of redemption on earth…What use would be a house filled with gold, were there no one to open its door? The priest holds the key to the treasures of heaven: it is he who opens the door; he is the steward of the good Lord; the administrator of His goods.

Stop! - Where Are You Going?

How often I pray with St. Catherine of Siena: O my God, grant me a place by the gates of Hell, that I may stop those who enter there, saying: "Where are you going, unhappy one? Back, go back! Make a good confession. Save your soul. Don't come here to be lost for all eternity!”

St. Anthony Marie Claret
