Do You Pray For Yourself and Other Sinners?

I can’t stop praying for poor sinners who are on the road to hell. If they come to die in that state, they will be lost for all eternity. What a pity! We have to pray for sinners! Praying for sinners is the most beautiful and useful of prayers because the just are on the way to heaven, the souls of purgatory are sure to enter there, but the poor sinners will be lost forever.

(St. John Marie Vianney)

What Does It Mean To Be Humble?

But, Lord, It Is So Difficult

(Image Source- Wikimedia Commons) Jesus warned that sometimes His teachings would bring conflict to those who accepted and lived them (Luke 12: 49-53)…being true to the Gospel means I will have to stand up for what I believe even if it causes division among those with whom I live and work.   Jesus, do not let my distaste for conflict keep me from supporting and living Your profound teachings.   One Bread, One Body

Let Us Adore Him!

Let us adore Jesus in our hearts, who spent 30 years out of 33 in silence; who began His public life by spending 40 days in silence; who often retired alone to spend the night on a mountain in silence.  He, who spoke with authority, now spends His earthly life in silence.  Let us adore Jesus in the Eucharistic silence.  (Blessed Teresa of Calcutta)
