Even After Divine Mercy Sunday - This Truth Must Be Repeated

Image
As Christians, we should realize that life is the boot camp for eternity… while our goal should be eternity with God, those who reject this goal do not merely ‘go to jail’, they go to hell forever…Little time or monies is expended on our souls.   This disparity should cause us concern since our souls live for eternity, while our bodies will undergo corruption in the near future.   We seem to be foolishly investing in the material to the exclusion of the spiritual.  Mary Ann Budnik

Living Well

Life is given us that we may learn to die well, and we never think of it! To die well we must live well.   St. John Marie Vianney

God's Purpose In Creating Me

Image
(Image Source) God has created me to do Him some definite service; He has committed some work to me, which He has not committed to another.   I have my mission – I never may know it in this life, but I should be told it in the next.   Somehow, I am necessary for His purposes, as necessary in my place as an Archangel in his – if, indeed, I fail, He can raise another, as He could make the stones children of Abraham.   Yet, I have a part in this great work; I am a link in the chain, a bond of connection between persons. Therefore, I will trust Him.   Whatever, wherever I am, I can never be thrown away.   If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him; in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him; if I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve...

Your Destiny...Your Duty

Image
(Image Source - Wikimedia Commons ) This is the Will of God – your sanctification.  To be a child of Mary means to be a saint.  That is your destiny.  That is your duty.  That is the one work of your life and your life's only work…there is only one sorrow: not to be a saint.  God has willed that you be a saint; has made it the whole purpose of your life, and the only meaning of all your living.  Rev. M. Raymond, O.C.S.O.
