And Whom Should We Love?

Putting Our Faith In Perspective

Image
Photo by Maarten van den Heuvel on Unsplash   I'm here as a Catholic Christian and an American citizen – in that order.  Both of these identities are important.  They don't need to conflict.  They are not, however, the same thing.  And they do not have the same weight.  I love my country.  I revere the genius of its founding documents and its public institutions.  But no nation, not even the one I love, has a right to my allegiance, or my silence, in matters that belong to God or that undermine the dignity of the human persons He created.                                      Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap

This Is My God!

(Image Source: Wikimedia Commons ) God is all powerful; God has a great love for me; God is faithful to his promises.   It is He, the God of mercies, who fills me with the confidence. With Him, I do not feel alone, or useless, or abandoned, but involved in a plan of salvation that one day will lead to Paradise. St. John Paul II (Pope)

We Have The Time!

Image
(Image Source: Wikimedia Commons ) It is never true to say that we have no time to meditate; the less one thinks of God, the less time there will always be for God....For it does not require much time to make us saints; it requires only much love.   Venerable Fulton J. Sheen

How Often We Forget!

Image
(Image Source: Wikimedia Commons ) The Mass is mystery; it is the summation and resolution of all the mysteries.  It is the focal point of Mary’s life; the focal point of Christ’s life; the focal point of the life of every true Christian.  Have you ever assisted at Mass? It is the crucifixion of God. How often we forget!  Rev. M. Raymond, O.C.S.O.

Isn't This The Truth!
