Forgotten Truths To Set Faith Afire!

”Enter the inner chamber of your soul, shut out everything except God and that which can help you in seeking him, and when you have shut the door, seek him.” – St. Anselm of Canterbury

"True and substantial devotion consists in serving God without experiencing any sensible consolation. This means serving and loving God for His own sake." - St. Pio of Pietrelcina

Optina Prayer of St. John of Kronstadt

O Lord, grant that I may greet all that this day is to bring. Grant me grace to surrender myself completely to Your holy will. In every hour of this day instruct me and guide me in all things. Teach me to accept tranquility whatever tidings I may receive during this day, in the firm belief that Your holy will governs all. Govern my thoughts and feelings in all that I do and say. When unforeseen things occur, let me not forget that all is sent by You. Teach me to behave sincerely and reasonably toward everyone, so that I may bring confusion and sorrow to no one. Bestow on me, O Lord, strength to endure the fatigue of the day and to bear my part in its events. Guide my will and teach me to pray, to believe, to suffer, to forgive and to love. Amen

God's Magnificent Creation

Being Catholic Is a Full-time Commitment

“[Whittaker] Chambers says life and faith must be one. That is, the individual must not only have a lively faith, but must live his faith. He must believe it with his whole being what he professes to believe with his lips. He must say aloud his Credo, not with words, but with every action of his life. He must be a Catholic not only for the hour or so he spends in church on Sunday, but he must be Christ twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, fifty-two weeks of the year.” – (Rev. Father Raymond, O.C.S.O.)

Prayer For Our Priests

"O dear Jesus, look down with love on your priests. Fill them with burning zeal for the conversion of sinners; keep unstained their anointed hands which daily touch Your Immaculate Body; keep unsullied their lips purpled with Your Precious Blood; keep pure and unearthly a heart sealed with the sublime mark of Your glorious Priesthood. Bless their labors with abundant fruit, and may those to whom they have ministered on earth, be one day their joy and consolation in Heaven. Amen. (From Dominican Prayer Book)
